Having owned a few performance cars, insurance seemed to be a thorn in the side and the renewal the worse time of year. Having used several other insurance companies in the past including other specialist providers and with last years renewal coming in at a whooping £920, I decided that shopping around was needed.

Being the kind of person that hates paying for anything, I phoned several insurance companies and brokers. Having modified my car quite extensively and enjoying the odd track day, I was looking for a policy that as a minimum would offer; like for like cover on all modifications, track day and good discounts for benefits like NCB, trackers, owners club membership etc. After phoning Nowell and Richards I managed to get a policy that offered all the above, all for only £655 a whole £260+ better than my previous insurer for exactly the same cover (even after phoning back they could only manage £875).

If you own an Evo I can't recommend them enough, just give them a call when your renewal arrives, you may just be as lucky as me.

This is the first year that I have dealt with Nowell and Richards. I was pleasantly surprised when there price came back £85 cheaper than all of the other quotes I received, including those from the so called “specialist companies”.

A few months after accepting their policy I phoned up to add some modifications and found out that in adding a new set of alloys, an air filter, exhaust etc were done hassle free and at a very reasonable cost.

The staff at Nowell and Richards make a usually hard and time consuming job, very easy. The policy cover is comprehensive, and exactly what I was looking for, can be tailored to modification needs, and the premium was vey competitive. I would (and have) recommend Evo owners to give Nowell and Richards a go, it doesn’t cost to get a quote, and you might be surprised. These guys go out of their way to try and accommodate each and every need that you might have, for a better price than most would quote.
